Mission Statement
The East Main church exists to glorify God through worship, to meet the needs of others, and to be effective in evangelism. We want to stimulate each member of the East Main family to become more like Jesus and to grow spiritually through Biblical education, fellowship, and good works, thereby promoting personal and family development.
That the Bible is inspired of God and is perfect and complete in every way (Jude 3; 2 Timothy. 3:16 - 17; 2 Peter 1:3; 1:20 - 21).
That it is wrong and sinful to alter, pervert, add or take from the Lord's revealed will in the scriptures. (2 John 9; 1 Corinthians 4:6; Galatians 1:7 - 9; Revelation 22:18 - 19)
All human creeds are wrong and sinful. We do not conceive of ourselves as being denominational, nor as Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish but simply as members of the church in which Christ established and died for. (Matthew 15:6 - 13; Mark7:6 - 9 & 13; Titus 1:14; Colossians 2:18 - 22)
That in this dispensation Jesus Christ has ALL authority and power, and we must obey His will in ALL things. (Matthew 17:5; & 28:18 - 20; Acts 3:22 Ephesians 1:20 - 23; Colosians 3:17; 2John 9; 1Peter 3:22; Hebrews 5:8 - 9)
That Christ's will, law or commands are revealed in the New Testament. (Hebrews 9:15 - 17; John 14:26 & 16:13 - 14; 2Corinthians 3:6; Ephesians 3:3 - 6; 1Corinthians 14:37)
All men will be lost who do not obey the gospel or Word of Truth. Man's salvation depends upon faith that leads to obedience. (Hebrews 11:8; Romans 6:17; 1Peter 1:22; Romans 2:8 - 9; 2Thessalonians 1:7 - 9)

Church is much more than just "going to church" on Sundays. In fact the word "church" as it is used in the Bible does not even refer to a building. The word church is used to describe the people, not the building! So the only way to see this church is from the inside, get to know the people. Church is more about worshiping God, being with His people, and serving others than what we typically think of as "religion." And remember that everyone else in here was at one time or another, a newcomer.

We are a group of independent congregations who do our best to "speak where the Bible speaks, and be silent where the Bible is silent". We have no central orginizing body nor do we have denominational rules and regulations. We are a worldwide church with nearly two dozen colleges and universities. Our members also support camps, nursing homes, children's homes, inner city ministries, medical and humanitarian ministries (domestic and foreign), and radio and television ministries worldwide.
It is our goal to be non-denominational and follow what the Bible says in matters of faith, worship, and living day to day. We believe that Jesus is the Christ and our savior and we should follow Him.
